Dhaka is one of the oldest cities in South Asia. This city narrates the history of more than 400 years through its lands, rivers, trees, stones, and architecture. They are the evidence of time. In my childhood, I saw lots of zamindar bari in Puran Dhaka. Those buildings hold the history of this area. Inside those buildings, the architecture tells us how people lived in those buildings and what the cultural practices of this area were at that time. Now I see that most of the old Zamindar houses were destroyed in this city. At this point, I try to hold those architectural structures, delicate designs, and symbols through a series of cyanotype prints. In order to convey their sculptural quality, the grinding stone has been used to hold the symbols. Cyanotype is one of the oldest printing techniques and plays an important role in making blueprints for architecture. My way of seeing those timeless lines carries many stories from that time. I represent architecture and the stories of its existence in an alternative way through my expression. For me, it's more like collecting stories from the city and returning them in a sweet manner.
